We were happy to see so many companies and students at our Annual Career Fair on October 15 at the Dulles Hyatt. The day was packed with interviews, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities.
As we close on the end of the year and the holidays
approaching, it’s a good time to reflect and give thanks. We will celebrate Veteran’s Day on Thursday,
November 11; thank you to all our members of our military in all branches. We are grateful for the FPA community and
hope you enjoy Thanksgiving with your family and friends. We look forward to seeing you at our
upcoming programs.
Upcoming Events – We
will be virtual on Thursday, November 18 with two great speakers and 2 approved
CFP CEs. Larry Codisco, Co-Chief
Investment Officer at Osterweis will kick things off at 12:00 with his topic: Where are we is the cycle of Equites? James Bogart will follow discussing,
After-tax, Back Door and Mega Roth Conversions.

Our annual Winter Symposium will be
back in person on January 24, 2022 at a new location, the Westin Tysons
Hotel. We hope you can join us at our
January symposium as we recognize Peggy and welcome Kristin. The early bird rate will be available to

Volunteer Opportunities - We
have decided to postpone our Metro Washington Financial Planning Day due to
logistics with COVID and our involvement with the UMGC Financial Wellness Day
in August. Stay tuned for future opportunities!
Next Generation - The
NexGen team will host their next Forum in December. Check the website for
dates and details.
Diversity & Inclusion -There are some exciting opportunities if you are looking to
learn more or get involved. FPA National
has a list of Knowledge Circles and opportunities to discuss and learn
more.

FPA National Updates -The FPA Fall Learning Series will be a four-week series
beginning November 8 that you won’t want to miss and is free to all
members. There will be 22 learning
programs and ample hours of CFP CE available.
