The New Year brings a new look to our website, including social media
and streamlined communications that make it easier for members to communicate
with the chapter and each other.
New Home Page for Consumers To engage consumers in the Greater
Washington, DC Region, we have a home page designed just for them. Under the Spotlight, there are links to help
people understand how a financial planner charges for services, how to find and
choose a planner, and basic questions to ask. There’s also a blog that focuses upon current trends
and topics, along with other topics and helpful features.
Premier and Preferred Sponsors will have their logos prominently
displayed on the Consumer and Financial Professional home pages in a rotating
marketing banner. Logos are linked to the sponsor’s websites. All sponsors and
partners, including Gold and Silver level, are easily accessed through the Spotlight Link on the Financial
Professionals page.
External Social Media Presence Increased We’ve
dramatically increased our public and professional outreach by adding a new Facebook page and Twitter profile. We also invite
you to join our chapter’s LinkedIn Group.
You’ll see icons for these social media platforms placed in the orange banner
at the top right of every page.
FPA Connect We’ve also made it easy for you to take
part in the Financial Planning Association’s internal social media network for
members, FPA Connect, labeled as Communities of Interest. You’ll
find the link in the middle of the Financial Professional’s page.
No matter
how you like to communicate online, we’ve probably got you covered. Join the conversation
today.
