Third Annual FPANCA NexGen Retreat – Saturday, May 21st!
Lauren Grove, CFP®

Register now! You have one week left before registration closes on May 17th. We hope to see you there! Not NexGen? Join us for a social at Agua 301 starting at 5:30pm with drinks and hors d’oeuvres!

Please join us for the third annual NexGen Retreat! This event promises to be full of networking, learning, collaboration, sharing and fun. The last two years have been a huge success and we look forward to continuing that this year.

We will start the day with a Circle Gathering led by Eleanor Blayney, CFP®, a pioneer in building and shaping the financial planning profession. The Circle Gathering is intended to let members get to know one another and talk about their intentions and goals for the Retreat.

Following the Circle Gathering, we will have an interview-style session with Michael Kitces, MSFS, MTAX, CFP®, CLU, ChFC, RHU, REBC, CAS. If you haven’t heard Michael speak before, you don’t want to miss this! And if you have heard him speak before, now is your chance to spend time with him in a session that is completely based on what you are interested in learning from him. Come ready to soak up everything you can and ask any questions you may have!

We will then have lunch, during which we will have sessions going on called Under the Trees. These are informal discussion sessions based on topics and/or questions brainstormed and chosen by attendees earlier in the morning. Attendees choose which topic they are interested in learning more about or sharing information on and are free to come and go between topics as they please.

Following lunch, Kathi Ayers, Esq. will present to us on estate planning for young clients who are just like us. She will talk about the main concerns and considerations, and key topics to be covered with these clients. And after her presentation we will hear from Jeff Porter, CFA®, CFP®, who will lead a presentation on the current market outlook and having tough conversations with clients when the market isn’t doing so well.  He will also discuss robo-advisors and fee compression. Each of these afternoon sessions has been approved for 1 CFP CE Credit!

To end the educational portion of the day, Eleanor Blayney, CPF®, will lead a closing Circle Gathering.  The attendees will have a chance to digest everything from the day, share learning and eye-opening moments, and generate a call to action as we close the day. Then we will head to Agua 301 on the water for a social with drinks and hors d’oeuvres – the ENTIRE chapter is invited!

If you have any questions about the day, please contact Kim Scott, CFP® (kim@fsainvest.com) who has worked relentlessly with her committee to put together a wonderful day for all! See you Saturday, May 21st!
